Alms-round (piṇḍapāta) with Bhante Sujato and over a dozen visiting monks & nuns
Mon 10 Nov | around 11:00am
Location: Corner of Wigram and Marion streets, Harris Park, outside the Post Office
On Monday 10 November, Bhante Sujato's walk for alms-food (piṇḍapāta) in Harris Park will be joined by over a dozen visiting monks and nuns from both the Theravādin and Mahāyānan traditions. Come along for this special event and put some food in their bowls!
Almsround is a tradition that dates back to the time of the Buddha. Piṇḍapāta is not begging. The monastics simply walk or stand silently and receive what is offered.
