About the Presenter: So Ya is a Buddhist nun who started practicing Buddhism in Russia, in the year 2000. She was ordained as a nun in the Japanese Soto Zen tradition in 2006 and later changed to Kwan Um School of Zen in 2014 following which she underwent monastic training for 5 years in South Korea at the International Zen Center Musangsa and got bhikkhuni precepts in 2019 in Malaysia. After that, So Ya trained in Su Bong Zen Monastery in Hong Kong for a little over a year. Now she is mainly staying and practicing in Musangsa, South Korea and in Russia. So Ya also follows the teaching of Mingyur Rinpoche.
